President’s Message February 2025
Dear Sooner Model A Club members,
In my second month as president, I am still trying to express my appreciation for all of you, which includes everyone who makes suggestions for activities and makes the arrangements, and everyone who attends the activities, and everyone who reads the Scuttlebutt. If you are participating in the activities or looking at the pictures, you are involved in the club. It is always enjoyable for us to get together to celebrate our common interest in the Model A Ford.
Last month, we had a great tour at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Gaylord Pickens Museum, and then we had lunch at The Mule in Midtown. It was very interesting to hear that Mr. Pickens and Mr. Gaylord were in some kind of contest of their own to have the biggest portrait and to donate the most money. The Mule was very busy and lots of people had the chance to enjoy looking at Model A’s.
On Saturday, February 15th, we have a tour scheduled at the Great Plains Cotton Gin in Minco, and lunch somewhere afterwards.
The Club Meeting is the day after, on Sunday, February 16th, and we have decided to have a Valentine Day theme and we will play Card Bingo after refreshments.
We are accepting ideas and suggestions for interesting tours and destinations, so let us know if you have any suggestions or would like to put on a demonstration of your choosing.
