President’s Message September 2025

Dear Sooner Model A Club members,

There is not a scheduled club meeting at the Will Rogers Garden Center in September. Chuck has been meeting with the Scheduling Department at the Garden Center to determine the best opportunities for us to have our monthly meetings next year. There will be more information about what our meeting schedule will be for 2026 in the October Scuttlebutt.

Although we do not have a club meeting in September, we are still enjoying some great activities. The Western Days parade had very good weather and there were a lots of people there to celebrate.

Don Mitchell arranged a great tour to celebrate International Model A Day. Eight Model A’s met at the Land Run Statues in Bricktown and drove to the Firemen’s Museum, then we had lunch at Bedlam Barbeque, and then we drove to the Railroad Museum. We’re not sure how Don was able to arrange the great weather, but we appreciate everything that Don does for the club.

  In MAFCA news, Kerry and Wanda Steffens have received a pin for 30 years of membership, and Ralph & Connie Hudson have received a 40 year membership pin. Congratulations to Kerry and Wanda for 30 years, and congratulations to Ralph and Connie for 40 years. MAFCA is a wonderful organization and very supportive of the local chapters in the preservation and enjoyment of Model A’s.

  We are looking forward to seeing you soon, somewhere along the Model A road.
