President’s Message July 2026

Dear Sooner Model A Club members,

June was a busy month for us.  The first meeting for the newly-established Ladies Lunch was enjoyable for all who were able to attend.  The Ladies Lunch is on the second Tuesday of each month.  Please let Lois know if you are attending as the Tea Room requires reservations.

The meeting of the car clubs at Don Sable’s shop was a success, with lots of different cars and people, and food, and we were inside his air-conditioned shop.  The Harn Homestead event was another hot day, but we found shade.  The Great Race came thru Stockyards City, and plenty of us were there to help and watch all the cars that were participating.

In July, we have two parades on Independence Day, and all are invited to Phil & Kay’s house for lunch afterwards.  We decided to go to Incredible Pizza last week, but we all assumed they would be open as usual.  Fortunately, we are flexible and were able to find another place to enjoy food and fellowship.  

The Scuttlebutt will be out soon.  Our Editor is traveling with her laptop, but the laptop has decided to quit working, so the Scuttlebutt is being processed at the local public library while waiting for the new laptop.  Hooray for public libraries.  

The Club Meeting is on Sunday, July 26th, and we will talk about the exciting activities coming up.  The July meeting on Sunday is our annual ice cream social, so please be sure to bring your favorite ice cream to share.
