President’s Message November 2025

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Thank you for your support. I was very happy to find out that you are going to let me serve as President for next year, the 59th year of existence for the Club. Call me or text me or come to a meeting or a parade, and let me know how you want to Model A. The board has been discussing a few road trips that everyone might like, so we have a lot of potential plans for next year.

We still have a few activities for this year. The Czech parade and the Fall Tour in October were a lot of fun, with great weather and plenty of participation. The Polar Express train tickets, donated by Steve Davis, were auctioned at the October club meeting. Many thanks to Steve for the donation.

In November, we have the Veterans Day Parade in Blanchard. The Dallas Club has invited us, again this year, to join them on the Lake Murray State Park tour on November 14-16. Bob & Linda Stine are leading a caravan to Lake Murray Lodge. The aircraft museum tour is at the El Reno Airport on Nov 15th, and we will have lunch at Eischen’s after the tour. The Club meeting, on the following day, Nov 16th, is our annual Beans and Cornbread meeting.

The Cowboy Christmas parade in Stockyards City will be on December 6th. The Christmas Party, on Dec 14th, will be catered by Earl’s, and is $10.00 per person for members and guests. We will play Dirty Santa afterwards. The deadline for payment is Dec 1st, and the treasurer is also collecting next year’s dues.

The Club meetings for 2026 are changing to the 4th Sunday, and will be held in Room #1 at the Will Rogers Garden Center. The room is directly across the hall from where we have been meeting. The meeting time is still at 2:00pm, every month except for April and December. We hope to see you soon, on the Model A road.
