President’s Message January 2026
Dear Sooner Model A Club members,
Happy New Year. Thank you to everyone for your support and participation in another successful year. We are looking forward to 2026 and plan to drive in some parades, and we will have a few day drives to interesting places, and of course, some good food.
We would love to see all of you at the meetings and events. If you have any suggestions for our meetings or tours, please let us know. The new board for 2026 is listed on the front page of the Scuttlebutt, and we appreciate each person for offering their time and experience to the board.
The 2026 dues are now due, at the same price, only $20.00 per year. As you may have heard, we will be meeting in Room Number 1 at the Will Rogers Garden Center, on the 4th Sunday.
November and December were good times for the Model A’s in the parades. The Veterans Day parade in Blanchard was fun and had great weather. It was very cold on the day of the Cowboy Christmas Parade in Stockyards City, but there were big crowds and lots of participation. We had eight Model A’s in the parade and a great lunch at Bunny’s Onion Burger afterwards. There were seven cars and 10 people at Bubba’s to help them celebrate the end of Prohibition, and they provided us with a great lunch.
We wrapped up the year with 43 people registered at the Christmas party. Everyone enjoyed the food from Earl’s BBQ and we had fun playing Dirty Santa. Thank you to everyone who helped decorate the room. It looked very festive.
Sadly, we lost a few people last year. No one is here forever, but we enjoyed our time with them while they were here. We never know what the future holds, but we will enjoy our fellowship and our cars while we can.
2026 is the 59th year for the Sooner Model A Club, and we are looking forward to having another fun year. Please come and join us if you can.
