President’s Message April 2026

Dear Sooner Model A Club members, 

April is here, with the warmer weather and our Happy Easter treats and the chance of storms. We are looking forward to our April activities. The 89er Day Parade in Guthrie is on April 18th at noon, and we’ll have lunch at Simone’s Diner after the parade. The following Monday, April 20th, is the Tune-Up Day. Don and Chuck, in their trips to Enid to arrange the Spring Tour, have found a lot of great activities for us. The tour is in Enid on April 23-26, and we have a packed schedule and some optional places to go on our own. On the way home from the Spring Tour, we hope to see you at Johnnie’s, on Britton Road in the Village, for the club meeting. 

The smaller meeting room at the Will Rogers Garden Center seems to be working well for us. We will be meeting at Johnnies in April because there is a flower show at the Garden Center on our meeting day. In May, the club meeting will be back at the Will Rogers Garden Center. 

Please mark your calendars for May 9th. We are meeting the Tulsa Club at Joseph’s Fine Foods in Drumright for lunch. After lunch, we are scheduled for a very interesting tour at the Drumright Historical Museum to learn the history of that area of the state. The following week, May 16th, is the Armed Forces Day Parade in Del City. 

If you have any suggestions for activities or a speaker or demonstrations, please let us know and we will find out if it can be arranged. We hope to see you soon, somewhere along the Model A road.
