President’s Message April 2025

Dear Sooner Model A Club members,

We do not have a scheduled club meeting in April. The April meeting happened to fall on Easter Sunday, so there will not be an April club meeting this month. However, the Board has planned some other April activities that may interest you.

We had a free tour of the Kingdom of David and Solomon exhibit on April 6th at the Armstrong Auditorium in Edmond. We are scheduled to drive our Model A’s in the 89er Day parade in Guthrie on April 19th, and the Club has reservations for lunch at Simone’s Café afterwards. The Spring Tour, hosted by the Tulsa Club, is April 24-27 in Ponca City, and the schedule is packed with all types of fun activities for us. If you can’t come for the entire tour, please think about driving up for a day trip.

March was very busy with the Model A’s. We were in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Stockyards City again this year. It was great to see some of the same familiar parade participants. The crowds along the streets are always very happy to see us. It was very cold that day, but everyone was bundled up and having a good time. The Tune-Up Day was very productive. We worked on lots of Model A’s, and I want to thank Greg for all his hard work. There were a couple of cars where the fix was not easily spotted, but Greg was extremely persistent about finding the problem and fixing it.

We are still looking for interesting topics for any of the club meetings, so please let us hear your ideas. We are looking forward to seeing you soon, at some meeting or event or parade or somewhere for lunch. Happy Easter to all.
