President’s Message June 2026

Dear Sooner Model A Club members,

It was fun driving over to Drumright to meet our friends in the Tulsa Club for lunch, and afterwards we saw the history of Drumright in the Historical Society Museum. We had great weather for the Armed Forces Day parade in Del City. We were very happy to see our newest members, Tommy & Terri, and also Peter, at the club meeting. On the last Saturday in May, we had two activities, the Route 66 Capital Cruise Centennial Parade and the Route 66 display at the Warr Acres Library. As you know, we don’t usually have two activities on the same day, but it seemed to work out ok. We probably have more activities than usual because of the 100-year anniversary of Route 66. It seems like everybody wants to celebrate our Model A’s.

June is probably not quite as busy, but it will be close. The meeting of the car clubs is at Don Sable’s shop on June 6th; the Ladies Lunch is on June 9th; and we will be touring the Harn Homestead on June 13th. The Great Race is coming through Stockyards City, and we will be helping with parking the cars on June 22nd. The Early V-8 Club will be joining us at the Harn Homestead, and also at the Great Race parking event. The Club Meeting will be on June 28th at the Will Rogers Garden Center. Reminder messages will be sent about some of the upcoming activities. If you are not receiving the email messages, please let us know.

We hope to see you soon, somewhere along the Model A road. Visitors are always welcome to join us.
